Puget Sound’s own version of the Tony Awards, The Gregory Awards, offers any theatergoer a chance to nominate their favorite actors and productions.
The bulk of the Gregory Award nominees come from sixty nominators selected by Theatre Puget Sound. These nominators attend as many eligible performances as possible (each nominator is assigned fifteen to twenty shows per season). Their selections for the 2012 Gregory Awards were announced this month.
Besides these nominees, a “people’s choice” slot is left open such categories as Theater of The Year or Outstanding Actor. Currently, anyone can vote for a favorite performance or performer at Gregory Awards website from now through Sept. 7.
The 4th Annual Gregory Awards will be held at A Contemporary Theatre (ACT) in downtown Seattle on Oct. 29.
