The No. 3 USC Trojans will open up their promising 2012 season when they play host to the Hawaii Warriors on Saturday night. Many people believe USC is the team to beat in all of college football while Hawaii will adjust to their first season in the MWC.
Records (2011): Hawaii 6-7 (3-4 in the WAC), USC 10-2 (7-2 in Pac 12)
Kick-off: 7: 30 p.m. EST
Television: Fox Sports Net
Spread: USC by 42
Passing: The Warriors averaged 308.8 yards per game while USC put up 294.2 in 2011.
Rushing: Hawaii was averaging 94.5yards per outing while the Trojans were averaging 162.6.
Points per game: The Warriors were averaging 31.5 points per outing while USC averaged 35.8.
Points against per game: Hawaii was scorched for 29.1 points per game; meanwhile the Trojans gave up 23.6 points per game.
Thoughts: The Trojans are now eligible for post season play and are the odds on favorite to win the Pac 12. As for the Warriors, they have fallen from where they were a few years ago but still can put points on the scoreboard. With the spread being so large, I’d take Hawaii with the points and the over here.
