Kate Middleton was all smiles today (Monday) on Day 3 of the 2012 Olympics as she joined Prince William to cheer on his cousin Zara Phillips and the rest of the Team GB Equestrians. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were accompanied by a large group of royals at the Eventing Cross Country Equestrian event at Greenwich Park.
Zara’s mother Princess Anne, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were among the 50,000 spectators. The Queen was not on hand to watch her granddaughter compete today, but Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh did cheer on his granddaughter during her Olympic debut on Sunday.

Prince William’s first cousin Zara Phillips rode High Kingdom in the 3.5 mile course which includes 28 different obstacles. Phillips finished clean and with a time of 9 minutes, 55.11 seconds positioning her team among the middle of the field.
Zara Philips and Team GB are going after their first equestrian gold medal since the 1972 Munich Olympics.
