The 2012 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market tradeshow will be in full swing starting this Thursday, August 2, at the Salt Palace downtown. It has grown exponentially in the past few years, and this year brings back the New Exhibitor Pavilion which houses the newer outdoor retailers in a massive tent-like structure across the street from the Salt Palace on South Temple. Attendees will be viewing the latest in outdoor gear that will be in stores for 2013.
On Wednesday, August 1, the Open Air Demo will give OR attendees a chance to test out some of the latest in kayaks, SUP paddleboards, running shoes, and other outdoor gear. There will be races, contests, and great opportunities to catch some of the gear in action.
Thursday is when all the bustling will start in the Salt Palace with attendees running from one appointment to the next in the organized chaos of exhibitors. Here’s a sneak peek of some of the featured products at the OR Show.
The Blank Slate Climbing Trainer mounts in your doorway with no damage to the wall. With this climbing trainer, you can add climbing holds, hangboards, and accessories to the 17 standard t-nuts.
The T-1600 Performance Folding Kayak is an extremely portable kayak that can go from pack-to-water in 10 minutes or less. The Tri-Active Performance System (TPS) makes the T-1600 suitable for multiple paddling conditions and diverse skill sets.
SUP ATX will feature their highly anticipated FXR Sport Fisher which is the “ultimate Fishing-eXcursion-Race board.” This custom-built board includes an integrated gear box, integrated carry handle, deck pad, fin, vent plug, drain plug, and 10 tie-down anchor points along the rails of the board.
With so many featured products and the incredible innovations and technology that the outdoor retailers have in store, there is sure to be something for everyone that will be intriguing and catch the interest of the attendees.
