“American Horror Story” will return for its second season to Channel 27 in Tempe this fall, and now fans are being given the inside scoop on the upcoming season. On Sunday, July 29, TV Edge shared the latest casting news for the series. Entertainment Weekly also shared the latest comments about the series from FX president, John Landgraf, on Saturday. If you missed any of the previously released spoilers or photos released for this series, go here.
Franka Potente is ready to join the series for a two-episode arc as a patient, according to TV Edge. She is best known for her role in the Bourne films with Matt Damon. Jenna Dewan has also been cast in a role on the series. She will play one of ‘The Lovers’ on the series. Adam Levine is set to play the other half of that pair.
As for the series, Landgraf teased what is to come on the series when it returns for its second season. He said the following, according to EW:
“The second season takes place in a different time frame. It takes place in the ’60s. It takes place in New England at a sanitarium run by the Catholic Church. And none of the characters in it are characters that we’ve previously seen. So there’s no continuity between Season 1 and Season 2 … I can only tell you that it’s unbelievably scary, and I’m excited about the cast.”
Not much is known about the second season other than the above facts and the cast. The series is keeping things under wraps. Fans are buzzing about this series on social media. One fan said the following on Twitter recently:
