The situation between Caroline Manzo and Teresa Giudice came to a head on Sunday night’s episode of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” Andy Cohen sat down one-on-one with Caroline and Teresa on the August 26 episode of “Watch What Happens Live” to talk about the explosive fight in California. The two New Jersey housewives had a very different take on what transpired.
Andy Cohen interviewed Caroline Manzo first on Sunday. The 50-year-old said that she stands behind her words and feels Teresa Giudice harmed her family. She explained that it all started with the cookbook and snowballed from there. Andy Cohen mentioned that Giudice has apologized on numerous occasions for her comments in the cookbook. Manzo replied that Teresa’s apologies were made only while the cameras were rolling. She claims that Teresa never reached out with a personal phone call.
In her blog entry dated August 26, Manzo states…
This entire season was frustrating for me, and I believe you all saw my feelings erupt that last night in California. I often wonder if I should have just got up and left the room, but the reality is that would have accomplished nothing. Bottom line is that this confrontation needed to happen. I said what I said, and I meant it, but I’m disappointed that I allowed myself to be brought to such a negative level.
It’s been a year since we were in Napa, and I’ve managed to put the season behind me. Life has been drama and nonsense free, and I like it this way. Lesson learned…
On the flip side of the coin, Teresa Giudice feigned innocence with Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live.” She refuted the claim that she didn’t call Manzo, saying that she did indeed call, but Caroline didn’t pick up. To add fuel to the fire, Giudice made reference to Caroline’s marriage, stating that she has her own skeletons in the closet when it comes to husband Al. It seemed like a below the belt desperate attempt to stir up even more trouble.
In her latest Twitter post, Giudice shied away from any more nasty quips and simply said, “Thanks for watching the show everyone. Thanks again for the support.”
