What do thirty four dead Americans under sustained Israeli air attack plus one more American killed under an Israeli bulldozer equal? Indignation, anger and protest, of course, but strangely the most vociferous from the very country that carried out these “unfortunate incidents,” Israel. Yes, it is Israel that has become the loudest and staunchest supporter of its own right to kill (recall Lebanon, by the way?) off the bad guys (non-Israelis, especially Palestinians) to protect the good guys (Israelis/Zionists).
What follows is a strongly-opinionated view from many Americans on the plight of the people of Palestine.
Now…believe it or not, none of the above is anti-Semitic. Really. First and foremost Semites hail from genuine Jews and Arabs alike, not the Jews that are cited in contemporary times as Jews and that seem to be spreading the very kind of untruths that our creator admonished us about in His Word by saying that we should be wary of the Great Deceiver.
The Great Deceiver is trying to force the United States – that is, you and I and all other American taxpayers and patriots alike – to either sponsor or participate in a wide military strike against Iran. It’s the same Iran that in the old days nationalized exploitive British oil interests and suffered the consequences when Britain got the United States to overthrow an elected government and replace it with a political snowball that melted into the morass that we have in Iran today. That Great Deceiver has garnished the halls of Congress with great fears and great guilt, fears of losing elections lest candidates not expound the wisdom of voting pro-Israel and great guilt in the twisted post-World War II historical mania that describes Arabs and non-Jews in the Middle East (and now today inside the United States itself) as mortal enemies of the Jewish state.
Why is it that American political candidates in almost any voting district in the United States are bound to hop on a flight before elections and take off to Israel, more often than not with family for a pro-Israeli group sponsored fling that will ensure congressional marching alongside this Middle East ally? Why is it that Israel’s leader gets to stand up in Congress and bring tears to the eyes of adoring sycophants spell-bound by the loving relationship between Israel and the United States that still denies Palestinians their right – recognized internationally and certainly legitimate under the yes of God – to full statehood with Israel be damned?
While George the Younger was reckless and blind to the dangers of Middle East conflagration that were prompted by the American war on Iraq – which has fulfilled the predictions of destabilizing the Middle East even further – Obama, thank God and Bush just before him, have both refrained from either directly attacking Iran or allowing our Israeli Middle East puppet makers from doing so.
Winding back to that nasty June 1967 attack on the American spy ship U.S.S. Liberty and the 2003 Israeli bulldozer crushing of young female activist Rachel Corrie. Two days before she was killed, on 14 March 2003, she told a Middle East network, “I feel like I’m witnessing the systematic destruction of a people’s ability to survive…. Sometimes I sit down to dinner with people and I realize there is a massive military machine surrounding us, trying to kill the people I’m having dinner with.”
Her words live on today while the State of Israel has so far succeeded in making it look as if it was merely protecting itself in a combat zone. The problem is that the combat zone should never have been made a combat zone. It was an occupied territory, much the same way as all Palestinian territories are, more or less, occupied today. They remain occupied physically by Israel’s military and criminally settled civilian settlers. They remain diplomatically occupied by Israeli and Jewish influence in two out of three branches of the US government. They remain politically occupied by US-initiated (Israeli) pressures in the UN and other organizations to cease and desist from any meaningful redefinition of the Palestine-Israel standoff that is essentially a dismissal of Arab/Palestinian rights in favor of Israeli Zionism.
This is the American policy we have employed in the Middle East from even before the 1908 Balfour Declaration through several Israeli overtures via American-paid for war machines and conniving lies and extremely distressful pressures on American p0olitical officeholders and candidates to where they felt they could only support whatever was the Israeli dejure need.
American politicians, American entertainers, American icons, American common men and women stand less that a snowball’s chance in Hell of standing up to inappropriate, malicious, hateful, unfair and unjust pressures at home here in America or out of Israel itself. The Lobby shames the NRA and AARP combined, easily, because it sticks together and goes through with threats – real and implied – in taking action against any expression of opinion, any voiced thought, any action or mention of action that conceivably pose or is deemed to conceivably pose any threat to the Zionist/Israeli/Jewish lobby machine. See, it sounds anti-Semitic when put that way, doesn’t it? But the one thing that The Lobby does not want you, the American voter, taxpayer, patriot and believer in right and wrong to appreciate is that in the Middle East the issue is not just an issue of poor little Israel being faced with nasty Arab enemies and nastier potentially-nuclear weapon equipped Iran. At issue is the fact that extremists in this equation are pushing the United States internally and externally to abide by the wishes and policies not of the United States but of Israel. Yes, the Great Deceiver has so far deceived us into believing that American interests parallel in every way, manner and form those of Israel. Now that our politicians, media and educational resources are proving that it is behooving to mimic this lie, this deceit, the only people with problems in the Middle East dispute is the Palestinians, the Arabs, the Iranians, the region,…and guess what…the entire planet. This is the issue – world peace. America’s legacy can not and should not rest with rest with puppet strings pulled from Tel Aviv. We need sane arguments in Congress, in the media, at home and abroad, and in the UN, of course, where Israeli-controlled American voting takes place.
Let not Rachael Corrie have died in vain, and certainly not those thirty four US Navy U.S.S. Liberty patriots who gave their lives and the 171 others wounded on that vindictive napalm/strafing in the water attack have passed ignominiously in the shadowed cowardice of bending under Zionist pressure. If the Great Deceiver wishes to continue to deceive, let it deceive itself. Stop the United States from remaining under this heavy rock of guilt that is not nor never was ours, and from un-American pressures that have brought us today to the edge of economic ruin and warfare, literally, with the rest of the world.
