Ever since Bon Jovi went on tour hiatus, there has been no shortage of sightings of Jon Bon out and about at his various philanthropic goings-on; not to mention string-slinger Richie Sambora finishing work on his third solo record.
Further driving fans already shaking and quaking with withdrawal from All Things Jovi have been the one-off concerts: most recently at the Greenbriar Golf Classic, and today in front of 200,000 revelers in Quebec City.
In the words of television’s armchair shrink ‘Dr. Phil’ McGraw, the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. He generally shares this maxim when referring to bad behavior; but it’s appropriate for the good behavior that keeps seeping from the Bon Jovi camp’s musical intentions.
There’s a recognizable pattern here that bodes well for classic rock fans.
Just today, Bon Jovi and Aerosmith have been confirmed as just some of the headliners for the iHeart Radio Music Festival to be held at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 21-22, 2012.
Think that’s no big deal?
The festival announcement was made by none other than Ryan Seacrest, the uber-guru of ‘American Idol’, newly anointed King of All Media and heir apparent to the recently departed Dick Clark.
Having made its debut in 2011, the iHeartRadio music event sold out in a mere 10 minutes and presented twenty-three top music industry artists from around the globe live on stage and simulcast worldwide.
Bigger and better for 2012, tickets go on sale this Saturday, July 14 at 1p.m. Eastern Standard Time and are available via Ticketmaster.
