Gearbox Software and 2K Games announced a Season Pass for Borderlands 2 that will bring four DLC add-ons to the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC title at a discounted price.
The Borderlands 2 Season Pass will cost $29.99 (2400 MS Points) with the promise of four new add-on campaigns that bring several hours of gameplay and introduce new adventures, allies, enemies and environments.
The four packs would total up to $39.96 if sold separately according to a statement released by 2K Games which means that they will indeed be sold separately for $9.99 each.
While a release schedule for the four campaign add-ons has not been announced, 2K Games says that all four will be available by June of 2013. This suggests a November release for the first pack, January for the second, March for the third and May for the final pack if Gearbox is able to release them out an even schedule.
There’s also the Mechromancer class that will be available as DLC after the game’s launch but it will not be a part of the Season Pass. The only way to obtain it will be to pre-order Borderlands 2 or purchase the class after it is released.
Borderlands 2 is set for a September 18 release on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
