Weather summary: Tuesday’s weather headline was “more of the same“, meaning Tuesday’s weather would be a repeat of what we experienced on Monday. This will also hold true for Wednesday as this spectacular trend of weather continues.
High temperatures on Tuesday generally ran 80 to 85 degrees throughout the forecast area. Although a slight sea breeze did set up along some immediate coastal locations, it remained mostly a light land breeze for most of us. As was the case on Monday, any light sea breeze kept shore temperatures only a few degrees cooler. And, it remained dry as we continue with low humidity levels.
Another calm and quiet night followed, with the mercury slipping through the 70s during the evening and eventually dipping into the upper 50s well inland to the upper 60s along the coast. Great for enjoying the evening outdoors and sleeping without the air conditioner.
Weather synopsis: High pressure keeps the area warm and predominantly dry through the end of the work week. The high will move offshore by late in the week, bringing a warmer and more humid southwesterly airflow as we end the work week and start the weekend. A warm front will influence our weather over the weekend, with clouds and a chance for showers and thunderstorms Saturday night or Sunday.
Temperatures will remain pleasant on Wednesday and Thursday. Indications are that readings could reach 90 degrees, or slightly higher, during Friday afternoon. Over the weekend we expect the mercury to remain well into the 80s to near 90 Saturday and 80s Sunday.
