Still in the number one spot is the “Dark Knight Rises” which took in another $62.1 million over the weekend. This brings the 2-week total to $287.1 million. At this pace, it doesn’t appear to beat the second move in the series, “The Dark Knight” but as of right now it’s already the second highest grossing film in the franchise.

“Ice Age: Continental Drift” stays in the number two spot bringing in another $13.3 million over the weekend. This brings their 3-week total to $114.8 million. At this pace, it probably won’t come out of the number four spot in the franchise, beating out the original “Ice Age” which grossed $176.3 million.

Premiering at number three is “The Watch”, which about a group of men come together and protect their neighborhood from an alien invasion, took in $12.7 million in it’s 1st week.
Premiering at number four is “Step Up Revolution” $11.7 million in 1st week. This is a solid opening weekend for the movie, which hasn’t done so well at the box office in the last few movies.
Still holding strong at number five is the raunchy comedy from Seth McFarlane, “Ted”, which took in another $7.3 million over the weekend, bringing the 5-week total to $193.6 million. This makes it the 4th highest box office for a comedy, with a chance of beating out #3 “Wedding Crashers” which box office is $209.2 million.
