With CBS’ summer staple “Big Brother” (airing locally on CBS 2) now fully in gear, it was time for the latest live vote and eviction. Yet in the end it looks like who went home won’t be the only major story making waves tomorrow morning. So who was evicted and what was “Big Brother’s” latest game-changing twist? Here’s how the night went down.
Following last week’s elimination of Kara, “Team Dan” ended up in danger of being completely dissolved, meaning two people could conceivably be leaving the house tonight, but with JoJo breaking one of the cardinal rules of “Big Brother,” Dan and Danielle would soon find themselves safe for at least another week.
After some night late pillow talk between Shane and JoJo in the “have-nots” room got back to Janelle, Ashley and Shane’s one-time showmance partner Danielle, it was an almost certain JoJo would be heading back to Long Island without the $500,000 grand prize. Despite Britney’s best efforts at damage control, JoJo had sealed her fate and was evicted almost unanimously.
While Dan tried to empower and protect Danielle by separating himself from her this week, Shane and JoJo got a little too close for comfort and it cost her and her coach. Now following Willie’s disqualification and removal from the game, Britney has (at least for the moment) found herself in a bad situation. Like Dan, she also has lost two of her players in the same week. After all getting too comfortable with your houseguests is a dangerous move and has been the downfall of many past contestants.
However the real story came after as Shane topped the others in a “hockey/shuffleboard” type challenge to win the Head of Household position and control of the “Big Brother” house. Following Frank’s win last week, this was another major shift in the game as with Shane now the only member of “Team Britney,” nobody except him and his coach are truly safe.
Yet, host Julie Chen had one more trick up her sleeve! All season long the cast and viewers have been debating if the coaches would eventually be brought back into the game as players. As it turns out that’s not going to be up to the producers, but instead it’s up to the “Big Brother” audience. The show is giving viewers the chance to vote on if Britney, Dan, Janelle and Mike “Boogie” should be offered the chance to resign as coaches and once again compete for the main $500,000 prize.
Knowing how the public loves their reality all-stars, it shouldn’t be much of a surprise when the results are revealed next Thursday on the live telecast. In the meantime, voting is now open and you can cast your ballot at CBS.com.
So what’s your take New York? Should the coaches be made full time players? Or should things stay the same? That’s a wrap for tonight, but make sure to tune back in Sunday night night (locally on CBS 2) at 8 p.m. EST to see who Shane will nominate for eviction from the “Big Brother” house.
