Monday night, viewers of ABC’s “The Bachelorette 2012” were treated to the “Men Tell All” episode. Emily Maynard was sassy, Chris Bukowski was emotional and Kalon McMahon was unapologetic. Chris Harrison clearly had a great time with this one, and he had plenty to dish about in his weekly blog on Tuesday. What can he share about the taping that the viewers didn’t get to see?
Chris notes in his Entertainment Weekly blog that the crowd went wild for Sean Lowe every time Chris mentioned his name, which the viewers definitely noticed. Kalon McMahon didn’t get quite the same reaction, however. Harrison shares, “Either Kalon is just too proud to admit that he was wrong and was incredibly rude and disrespectful, or he really just doesn’t have a clue.” As viewers saw, “the more he talked, the deeper he dug his own grave. He just can’t help himself.”
Ryan Bowers, Chris says, is a different story. Despite what viewers saw of him on-screen, Chris says he’s not a bad guy. He writes, “I find him fascinating and could’ve talked to him for hours.” Harrison finds him entertaining, and says, “the things he conjures up in his head just amaze and baffle me.” He adds that while Ryan is over-confident and clearly a smooth-talker, “he’s in on the joke so it makes it funny and not so annoying.” Chris says that it was funny listening to Emily say early on she was onto him, only to start to fall for his charming ways for a bit.
As viewers saw, Sean Lowe was a class act at the “Men Tell All” and harbors no resentment toward Emily. Chris Bukowski had a lot to say Monday night as well. While he had seemed angry during his exit during the show, Harrison notes that he, too, was grateful to Emily Maynard for the experience. He writes, “These two proud guys that laid it all on the line for Emily could only thank her and say nice things about her.”
Viewers had heard that Chris and Emily joked about the tabloid rumors that they are together, but it was all edited out of the show. Harrison does joke about it in his blog, though. Then Emily told off Kalon again, and Chris notes, “Kalon really needs to go find a lesser opponent, because right now on the scoreboard it’s Emily: 2, Kalon: 0.” Fans were really looking forward to the bloopers and some felt they got shorted a bit, but Chris says the hour-long “Best of Bachelor Bloopers” special is really going to happen, and fans hope that’s true.
The big finale of ABC’s “The Bachelorette 2012” is now just days away. Which man will Emily Maynard choose? Will it be Arie Luyendyk, Jr. or Jef Holm? Is she happily engaged, or was it all for naught? Tune in to the 3-hour finale and live “After the Final Rose” special on Sunday, July 22.
