Good afternoon, everyone. I am honored to share with you all a place that is magical, exciting, and a memorable one. This place is enticed for those historian lovers and medieval times’ cravers. I am proud to present this week’s Cleveland local getaway, the Great Lakes Medieval Faire and Marketplace in Geneva, Ohio.
Every summer weekend running from July 7th to August 12th, Geneva, Ohio plays host to a magical and medieval village called Avaloch.
Many visitors and medieval fans alike are treated to jousting, period dressing, traditional food, and medieval song and dance. This year marks the twentieth anniversary of the Faire.
Many visitors from near and far, dress, and talk in period style, but you do not need this to enjoy the faire. Each weekend has its own theme and a variety of entertainment and activities to enjoy the theme of the weekend.
