Sumptuous food to please your palates, over 100 live musical performances, fine arts & crafts and fresh fruits and vegetables grown by local area farmers are just some of the sights, sounds and experiences that await Clevelanders at the 8th annual Taste of Hudson Festival on Sunday, September 2 and Monday, September 3 in nearby Hudson, Ohio. And it’s only a 40 minute drive from Cleveland.
Taste of Hudson Historic downtown Hudson is playing host to this 2-day family-friendly culinary, entertainment and lifestyle festival with plenty of activities for all age groups to enjoy.
More than 20 area restaurants and chefs will be preparing and showcasing items from their in-restaurant menus for visitors to enjoy. Adults at Taste of Hudson can visit the North End Wine and Beer Garden and partake of beers from Anheuser Busch and House of LaRose and select wines from all over the world. Taste of Hudson has become one of the largest free music festivals in Ohio featuring over 100 live entertainment performances on 8 stages including performances by Monica Robins (WKYC Channel 3 reporter) & the Whiskey Kings and Evil Ways, a Santana Tribute Band.
Other activities include a Fine Arts Fair showcasing 25 area artisans and crafters, the Diamond Auto Sales & Lease Luxury Auto Show and the Hudson Farmer’s Market featuring homegrown produce.
There will be plenty of children’s activities at the Kids Kraft Zone (sponsored by Jo-Ann Fabric & Craft stores and Little Tikes) with its craft projects, Little Tikes Land (an interactive play area featuring Little Tikes structures and toys), inflatables, face painting, magic shows and appearances by Jungle Terry. And make sure your children check out Smash Zone, a kid-friendly interactive experience presented by the United States Tennis Association.
Akron Children’s Hospital will have a booth providing health screenings and information about child safety.
Hours for Taste of Hudson are noon- 8 p.m. on Sunday and 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Monday (Labor Day). Admission is free.
