Come and Join the DC Reign on Friday August 3rd at 7:00 pm., as they play the Denver Dynasty in a Semi-Pro Football game to benefit the victims of the Aurora Theater shooting. Many of the victims need help with the extensive Hospital bills. Some of them have no insurance to cover the hospital stays which, in some cases will last for months to come.
When they heard of the shootings they knew they had to do something to help. This event is exemplifying part of both teams mission by reaching out to the community to support someone in need.
The Reign’s Photographer, Jesse Dillon, had a birthday party for his daughter, Angeliece, who turned 12. At this party her birthday wish was to do something to help the victims of the shooting. Jesse conveyed this wish to the owners of the Reign so they will have a bake sale with the proceeds going to the victims.
The Reign decided the Colorado Organization for Victims Assistance (COVA) would be the best way to insure these donations were put in the right hands, so the proceeds from the bake sale and a portion of the proceeds from the game will go to COVA.
If you would like to make a donation in lieu of the bake sale they will have someone collecting those also.
The game will take place at Shea Stadium, 3270 Redstone Park Circle, Highlands Ranch, CO 80129, for directions CLICK HERE or visit: http://www.bing.com/local/Details.aspx?lid=YN137x2673764
Kids 12 & under are free
If you would like to contribute to the bake sale please bring your favorite goodies to the game.
A portion of all the proceeds from the game will go to the foundation and additional donations will be appreciated.
