ANGLETON, Texas – A Brazoria County Sheriff’s deputy accused of inappropriately touching female drivers he pulled over on traffic stops has been indicted by a county grand jury.
Jason Burrows, 32, of Pearland, was charged with four counts of official oppression after two women came forward about incidents this year, Captain Chris Kincheloe said.
One woman initially reported the incident to another agency, Kincheloe said. The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office then launched their own investigation. During that investigation, another woman came forward and filed a complaint against Burrows.
The case was taken to the grand jury, where the deputy was indicted on four counts. Burrows surrendered and was arrested Monday. He was released shortly thereafter on $25,000 bail
Burrows had been with the sheriff’s office as a patrol deputy for just over a year.
