Canela’s pleading eyes gaze out from behind the bars of her kennel run.
When someone comes close enough for her to reach out, she places her paw through those bars in a desperate attempt to be touched.
Recently, a volunteer with a German shepherd rescue organization was at the North Central animal shelter in Los Angeles, Calif. That volunteer was at the facility picking up another dog when she came across Canela’s imploring eyes.

Rescues are full. Foster homes are in short supply.
Dogs like Canela are dying – dogs who are beautiful, loyal, intelligent and friendly.
Canela is waiting for someone to notice her.
Canela is searching every face that walks by her kennel run – hoping against hope that someone will stop and free her from the prison that she has found herself locked inside.
Please share Canela’s information – she desperately needs help before it is too late.
