On August 31, the undead shall assemble and walk the streets of downtown San Jose. For it’s time for the annual Zombie-O-Rama, which attracts a variety of people dressed up and made up as zombies for a mass zombie walk. While shambling through the streets of downtown, these bloody undead will startle pedestrians, stare into restaurant windows, scream for brains, check out booths featuring upcoming horror themed events or attractions, listen to live music, partake in some food truck vittles, and gather around to watch the classic romantic comedy with zombies “Shaun of the Dead.”
If you happen to be in downtown San Jose during Zombie-O-Rama, you’ll likely want to hold up in a bar or restaurant and wait out the zombie invasion just like the protagonists did during “Shaun of the Dead.” If you are part of the zombie invasion, you’ll likely want to smash into a bar and restaurant to dine on brains of the patrons conveniently sitting inside. Whatever the case, various bars and restaurants that line the Zombie-O-Rama zombie walk path will feature discounts or specials for both bystanders and costumed zombies.
South First Billiards located at 420 S First Street will offer $3 “Zombie Blood Chillers” and $1 Jello shots.
