As we all know, Florida in the summer can be a bit overwhelming especially to those who are visiting. But do not worry, there are plenty of lightweight opinions to compliment every body type and make you look like a local in no time. Let your vacation open you up to new style ideas. Nothing is better then testing out a new looks without the worry of others judging you.
The colors of Florida are great inspirations for choosing colors to reflect sun. Try to pick fabrics and prints that resemble the ocean, palm trees, sand and bright tropical flowers. Always steer clear of dark colors and especially black, you will sweat instantly.
Casual dressing for women includes lightweight flowing dresses, strapless dresses, tank tops, crop-tops and jumpers. Jeans in the summer are usually unbearable, and feel constricting. Shorts are perfect paired with a crop-top or tank. The current style for shorts are colorful, dyed and lace shorts. Prints, shapes, neon colors, lace, fringe and shirts with sayings are popular tops this summer.
Remember to pack a variety of shoes, even your comfiest part. Believe me you will want them walking around theme parks. Make sure to pack sandals for daytime and clubbing heels for night. Also pack a variety of earring, necklaces, and bracelets to complete any outfit. My favorite is pairing a long necklace at the beach with my swimsuit.
Men can stay stylish in a lightweight v-neck or man-tank. Try to stay away from heavy logos, and fabrics. Always compliment shorts with sandals because you’re in Florida! Most Clubs in Orlando have strict polices on wearing shorts and sandals to clubs so make sure to pack dress pants, dark jeans and dress shoes.
Always bring a swimsuit that you are 100% comfortable in. This will make your beach trips more enjoyable and help reduce the risk of loosing your suit in a wave. The top bathing suit styles are strapless, tribe prints, fringe and bright colors. The top colors of the season are hot pink top and black bottoms.
Do not stress about always looking put together in Florida, especially in beach towns. Most girls are wearing swimsuits, and sundresses with their hair salted from the ocean, and jewelry to match. Locals think of it as the “salt life.”
The summers in Florida are known for after-noon downpours, which usually last for about an hour or two each day. Make sure to pack a mini umbrella for each family member to protect your hair, and clothing from getting wet. There is noting worse then wet clothes and air conditioning
Make sure you do not forget your sunglasses!
