If you’re dying for a pair of the Christian Louboutin Cinderella glass slipper inspired shoes, but don’t like your chances when it comes to winning them, never fear! It was announced today that Disney has also teamed up with shoe retailer DSW to create The Glass Slipper Collection of bridal, evening, and party shoes at less than luxury prices.
DWS’s Glass Slipper Collection consists of five timeless styles of shoes in a plethora of colors ranging from classic black to fun pops of magenta and sky blue. Every shoe in this collection comes embossed with a small Cinderella carriage logo and will have a small blue gemstone on the heel. The shoes are inspired by Cinderella, specifically the 1950s Disney version of the tale. The shoes will retail between $59.95 and $89.95 at DSW stores and online through their website.
The announcement comes just a month after shoe lovers and fairytale fans got their first glimpses of Christian Louboutin’s glass slipper collaboration with Disney. The Louboutin shoe is of a much more limited edition than DSW’s Glass Slipper Collection. Only twenty of the Louboutin shoes have been made and, reportedly, will not be available for purchase at any price. They will serve as the prizes of a world-wide contest held by Disney that will take place next month.

DSW currently has more than three hundred and fifty locations nationwide. At the time of the announcement it was not made clear if the Glass Slipper Collection will be in every store or select stores. Earlier this year DSW saw the opening of two new stores in New York City. Both stores measure over 30,000 feet of retail space with shoes for men, women, and children.
Both the Louboutin glass slipper and DSW’s limited edition line are in honor of the October 2 release of Cinderella: The Diamond Edition on Blu-Ray. You can currently pre-order your copy online here from Amazon. This animated feature film by Walt Disney was first released in 1950. The film has been released in several different forms over the years as it has been part of the Disney Classic Collection, the Disney Platinum Collection, and several others. According to Disney when Cinderella was released as a Platinum Collection DVD it sold 3.2 million copies the first week and earned over $64 million in sales. The new Diamond Edition of the film will be sold as a three disc Blu-ray/DVD/Digital combo, as a two disc Blu-ray/DVD combo, and in a six disc “jewelry box set.”
