Did you know that there are six independently owned wineries located in Northwest Florida? Each one of these wineries is unique in size, appearance and output, with several producing native grown and natural Muscadine vines, a mix of either grapes or exotic and citrus fruit wines.
Wine tasting and tours are offered at all Northwest Florida wineries. Some of the vineyards are not much larger in size than a small garden, but offer a room for tasting and purchasing their products. It’s best to check with the wineries for hours and availability.

Yellow River Vineyards
Combine moderate weather all year long, long spring and summer seasons, with plenty of rain and sunshine, and you have the right ingredients for excellent Florida wines. Yellow River Vineyards is the only state and federally bonded winery in Okaloosa County. Yellow River Vineyards specialty is fruit wines made from locally grown producers.
Chautauqua Vineyards and Winery
Visitors are invited to taste the fine selection of wines produced from estate grown grapes which have earned the winery numerous awards in national and international wine competitions since the winery’s opening in 1989. Tours are offered to discover the art of wine making. The wines produced range from dry, barrel fermented wines to the more traditional southern favorites like sweet muscadine and blueberry wine.
Emerald Coast Wine Cellars
Located in Destin, FL, Emerald Coast Wine Cellars features a variety of wines made from native muscadine grapes, blueberries and blackberries. Other wines offered, include premium Cabernet, Chardonnay, Merlot and White Zinfandel. Emerald Coast Wine Cellars are open daily and offer a complimentary wine tasting seven days a week.
SeaBreeze Winery is located on Panama City Beach, and is one of Florida’s youngest wineries. The winery’s award winning muscadine wines are produced from grapes grown 35 miles north at their Kyotee Vineyards. The 100 acre vineyard produces 4 varieties; Noble, Carlos, Welder and Magnolia. It is considered to be the largest single vineyard in the State of Florida. The types of wines range from dry to sweet, including intense Blueberry and Blackberry wines and a premium selection of Port and Sherry. Visitors are often able to watch the production process of the fine wine during regularly scheduled tours.
Three Oaks Winery
Three Oaks Winery, a Certified Florida Farm Winery is located in Vernon, Florida. The winery produces light fruity, red wines from their own line of grapes, including the Conquistador bunch grape and the Muscadine grape. White wines are produced from the Carlos muscadine grape and made as a sweet wine only. Wine tastings and tours are offered year round from Wednesday thru Saturday, except in January when the business is closed for vacation.
Monticello Vineyards and Winery
Monticello Vineyards and Winery is a small Florida winery located on a 50 acre farm owned by Ladybird Organics. The vineyards are USDA certified organic. More than 18 different varieties of Muscadine grapes are grown on the farm, including white varietals of Carlos and Magnolia. Their Florida red wine comes from the red varietal Ison. Wines are available in both dry and semi-sweet. Visitors can sample and purchase from a variety of wines. During August and September, visitors can choose to hand pick their own grapes.
