The Family Winemakers of California will host their Twenty-second Annual Tasting event at the Festival Pavilion in Fort Mason Center, San Francisco on September 9, 2012. This event will hold the most comprehensive tasting of California wines in the world and a showcase for the states’s small, family-owned wineries. The event will be open to the public on Sunday, September 9 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The event will open for trade only attendants on Sunday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and Monday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Last year they launched a wine sales program. For the first time, tasters were able to buy wines by the bottle at the event. “Taste & Take” is back again, so if you find wines you like, it will be a great opportunity to stock up. This year they will be adding a special varietal tasting in the Pavilion Loft.
The Family Winemakers of California is an association that advocates the rights and interests of its members, to freely produce, market, and sell their products and is dedicated to preserving the broad diversity of California wines. In addition to hosting tasting events, Family Winemakers of California focuses on lobbying for increased market access, fewer taxes and fees, and less regulation. The association continues to pursue greater consumer choice in wine across the United States.
Among wineries representing Napa Valley you will be able to find: Adastra Wines, ADS Wines, Ca’Momi Wines, Ceja Vineyards, Cornerstone Cellars, Frank Family Vineyards, Rutherford Grove Winery & Vineyards, V. Sattui Winery, among others.
