Fashion junkies beware. Fashion Week is making its way to Dallas again but this time it is promising to be the real deal. Dallas has seen its fair share of “fashion weeks” over the last several of years however, “Fashion Week DFW” has hit the scene and is already surpassing the efforts of those who have attempted to claim the rights to organizing a Dallas fashion week.
Fashion Week DFW is currently planning a top-notch, unforgettable week of fashion during the week of March 17th through March 23, 2013. Set to host the weeklong of events will be Dallas’ newest luxury hotel, The Omni. According to the founder and executive director of Fashion Week DFW, Cedric Moses,
The Omni is a remarkable venue and will allow us to truly showcase DFW’s highly fashionable talents of fashion designers, boutique owners, make-up artist, models and fashion-enthusiasts.
Inspired by the likes of New York’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and other fashion meccas, Fashion Week DFW will present runway shows by both emerging and established designers in addition to educational seminars for fashion industry professionals and other retail events throughout the DFW metroplex. According to Moses,
The goal of Fashion Week DFW is to become an integral part of the DFW Fashion Community, supporting its eclectic sense of identity and the diversity along with showcasing these talents to the world.
Gearing up to the main fashion week will be several highly-anticipated Fashion Week DFW branded events that will highlight several of the designers, make-up artists and models who will be participating in next year’s main fashion week.
As one of the slated events, “Fashion Fridays” will be a monthly event generating interest in DFW fashion and preparing the DFW metroplex for next year’s main event. Fashion Fridays will begin its run on Friday, July 6th at Dallas’ Glass Lounge. With an appearance by an America’s Next Top Model contestant and two fashion presentations from Esque by Leslie Pennel and BARRON & J by James B. Martinez, Fashion Week DFW is already proving that it has what it takes in order to take DFW fashion to the next level.
Other events include a a charity golf event, “FORE Fashion Charity Golf Classic” as well as additional events coming down the pipeline in the future to help build branding and support for the efforts of Fashion Week DFW.
As the DFW metroplex continues to crave more in the area of fashion, Fashion Week DFW will continue to deliver. Taking a genuine and proactive approach in an industry that never sleeps, Fashion Week DFW is seemingly the insomniac; putting in countless hours and efforts in order to make the DFW metroplex one of the largest hosts for fashion industry enthusiasts. With that being said, DFW get ready.
