The afternoon bled into the evening as a panoply of metal-tinged bands hit the stage at Club Fever’s not-all-that-hyped Fever Fest last Sunday night, August 5, 2012. The show was headlined by Static-X and Prong with touring support by Davey Suicide and 9Electric. But the showtime started at 2 p.m. (Or a little thereafter) and featured Vexxus, Mine Enemies Fall, Deadlite Redemption, Subtle Fall, Liberty in Ruins, All My Sins Remembered, Shovel, South of Sorrow, and more.
The two headliners are both veteran bands with only their frontmen left from their original lineup – they being Wayne Static of Static-X and Tommy Victor of Prong. They have both made returns after hiatuses as well, although Static-X is a more recent reformation (this year) than Prong’s (2007). Warming up for the two veteran bands were relative newcomers, the glammy/Marilyn Mansonesque band Davey Suicide, and the high-charged electro-punk of 9Electric, both of whom hail from Los Angeles.
