If your family is anything like mine Labor Day weekend symbolizes a few things; Kids are back in school, rates at beach hotels just went down, and Football Season is HERE!!!!
With football season comes the big question of where to enjoy the games? Now of course you could sit in front of your big screen TV at home alone but how much fun is that? Check out some of your local restaurants that are bound to have the games playing as there is no better customer in a restaurant than…you got it a football fan!! We love wings and nachos and sticky ribs and barbecue and we let’s not forget the cold beer!
Some of my favorites in town to enjoy a game include Buffalo Wild Wings, awesome wings and ice cold beer. Our local Buffalo Wild Wings has an outdoor patio which is great when the temps start to come down out of the 90’s, they offer multiple big screen TV’s inside as well as outside on the patio. Beware however the outdoor patio can be a bit noisy, not from your fellow football fans but from the Skibo Road traffic. Buffalo Wild Wings is a good hang out where you can spend an entire game and not go broke as the prices are very reasonable.
Another great option is Carolina Ale House at Glensford and Morganton , of course there is so many good things about Carolina Ale House not just being able to watch a game but they have some really amazing menu items, A burger here should hold you over for about…2 days certainly big enough to share. Don’t forget the fried pickles at Carolina Ale House, I know a lot of restaurants offer them but only a few have perfected them and Carolina Ale House has done just that. Beers are always icy cold here and they also have an outdoor patio.
Smokey Bones is a great place to catch a game as well with a bar fully outfitted with big screen TVs and many distributed throughout the restaurant itself you are sure to have a good view of the game you want to see. What goes better with football than some great barbecue? Smokey Bones offers just about anything you can imagine drowning in barbecue sauce, smoked to perfection I don’t think I have ever had a bad meal here.
Of course there are many more options to catch a game in town while grabbing an ice cold beer and a great meal however these were just a few of my favorites, I am sure you know just which ones are your favorite go to places for a game but be sure to keep my favorites in mind when you’re considering where to go.
So till my next article I hope all your meals are happy ones and that all your football games end in a WIN!
