This restaurant couldn’t have come at a better time. A time when the Olympics and their athletes are promoting McDonald’s and Coca-Cola; Green2Go is offering up a fresh new concept that needs to catch on like the Olympic cauldron’s fire.
Not that there is anything particularly wrong with fast food or a liquid drink that can clean up a crime scene, but the one thing that is wrong is the obsession the world has with fast-food.
If only the world had the obsession with green, sustainable and organic products, so many issues with what true nutrition should be would quite possibly be deemed solved. The gluten free and dairy free intolerances might be washed away or at least made less noticeable, but all of these intolerances are probably here to stay and the billions of dollars being poured into the gluten free industry will continue to prosper.
This is due in large part to the preservatives, chemicals, GMO’s and absolute garbage added to food and drinks these days. It is about time that someone came up with an idea sanctioned on the idea of helping the environment along with putting healthy food onto consumers plates, forks and spoons.
Green2Go was started by two mother’s who were sick of seeing their children eat what they shouldn’t be eating, exactly that, fast food. Sorry McDonald’s, but the reality is, something that can be prepared in 2 minutes or less, can’t possible be that healthy unless it is a salad with a few vegetables. Most anyone know’s that going to Mcdonald’s and even ordering a salad is not that healthy for you.
Ironically, Green2go is next door to a Mcdonald’s in Brea, California, about 15 miles outside of Los Angeles county. If you are a foodie like this gluten free gal, well then you better get on over to grab some Green2Go or you will be missing the boat.
Green2Go offers, organic, fresh and locally sustainable ingredients prepared fresh daily. Not to mention, the portions are favorable and the prices meet the quality that you pay. As pictured this gluten free gal had one of the recommendations of ahi tuna poke on top of the healthiest white rice milled in Williams, California.
Everything looked amazing that came out of the kitchen and Green2Go often does specials that are first come first serve. They go as far as flying in fresh fish from Hawaii for many of their market price menu items.
Asian Jidori chicken, caesar salad with homemade dressing, gluten free flourless chocolate cake and so many others make the list of tasty foods on the Green2Go menu. Not all items are gluten free and dairy free, so be sure to inquire upon ordering. If you have specific food allergies like this gluten free gal, Green2Go will cater to your fancy as best as they possibly can.
A small secret, that might not stay so small once this headline goes to press is that the head chef has prepared food for nearly every president since Reagan was alive. What are the Obama’s waiting for? Looks like they might have to get in line behind all the new customers waiting to try Green2Go.
To learn more about Green2Go and try their amazing organic fare, you can visit them in Brea at 2435 E Imperial Highway, Suite A, caddy corner to the golden arches. For even more information, visit them on facebook.
