Guiliana Rancic and her husband Bill have welcomed the arrival of a baby boy.
Radar Online reported on Thursday, August 30 that TV talk host Guiliana Rancic, and her husband Bill announced that they have become parents, via gestational surrogate.
Bill Rancic, 41, tweeted early this morning;”The ‘Duke’ has landed! Edward Duke Rancic was welcomed into the world last night at 7lbs 4oz. G & I feel blessed beyond words…We did it!”
Guiliana and Bill Rancic documented their journey in trying to conceive a baby, and as they attempted and tried in-vitro fertilization, without luck. The couple also faced another battle when Guiliana was diagnosed with breast cancer, postponing their plans of parenthood.
After years of failed IVF treatments and being unable to conceive — struggles documented on their reality show, “Guiliana and Bill” — the couple announced in April that they were expecting their first child.
E! News reported that baby Edward was born by gestational surrogate, which means that Guiliana and Bill Rancic are the baby’s biological parents.
“Bill and I are blessed beyond words to welcome Edward into our lives,” Guiliana, 37, told E! News, for which she is an anchor. “Thank you so much to everyone who supported us along the way. We are so in love with the little guy already.”
In December 2011, Guiliana underwent a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer. The E!News host has been very open and honest about her life’s struggles, her battle with cancer, and her miscarriage in October 2011, at eight weeks pregnant.
Congratulations to Guiliana and Bill Rancic on the arrival of their son Edward Duke.
