The Howard Stern Show for Tuesday, July 24th featured the following highlights:
1. Poopgate – A lot of things happened on Tuesday’s broadcast, but the segment that will stand the test of time is the Poopgate Scandal. The aftermath of an explosive bowel movement was discovered in the Howard Stern Show staff bathroom on Monday, and when no one came forward to claim responsibility for the butt graffiti, Stern issued an amnesty period–and an ultimatum. The guilty party could either come forward and admit to the shameless butt spray, or else everyone that used their key cards to get into that bathroom Monday morning would be subjected to a DNA test. Stern said that the DNA samples would then be tested against the copious doody samples collected from the crime scene by Howard 100 News investigator Jon Leiberman. Howard Stern then swore he would fire the culprit when the DNA tests came back.
“If I have to go through a DNA test…I’m firing them, because they’re putting me through a huge expense on this budget….and it’s thousands of dollars…If they want amnesty, I’m offering this—no firing, no repercussions.”
It was just after 7:00 a.m. when the Poopgate perpetrator stepped forward. It was Howard Stern Show Program Director Tim Sabean, who claimed that he was “sick as a dog” from food poisoning after a questionable Sunday night Mexican meal.
Tim Sabean can expect to live this down in about 3-4 NEVERS.
2. David Arquette in studio – Howard Stern Show bestie David Arquette was back in the studio to talk about his new venture-a hipster Hollywood club called Bootsy Bellows which features music, booze and crazy puppets. Arquette, who has been sober for eighteen months, says he’s not worried that the club lifestyle will mess with his program.
Stern then got to the nitty gritty: just how much dough did David score in his divorce from Courteney Cox? David wouldn’t share numbers but assured Stern that it was substantially less than the “$50 million” that the King of All Media jokingly estimated.
On a romantic note, Arquette says he’s back together with Entertainment Tonight reporter Christina McLarty. He also revealed that McLarty is relocating to Los Angeles full time, which should ease the long-distance strain their relationship suffered from the first time around. 3. Grope Alexis Ford – Porn star and former Miss Howard TV Alexis Ford played a high stakes version of the “Earn Your Plugs” game. Ford was asked basic trivia questions and given the chance to plug her upcoming films and personal appearances when she answered correctly. When she answered incorrectly, though, she submitted to groping three in studio fans. Ford got her share of both plugs and gropes, failing to correctly answer several questions, including defining a “periodical” as a menstrual cycle. See photos of Alexis Ford here
4. Chick-Fil-A anti gay controversy: Howard Stern weighed in on the current controversy surrounding fast food restaurant Chick-Fil-A, whose President recently stated that he was proud to be against gay marriage. Stern called the President and the company “scumbags” and then lambasted Jon Hein for not lambasting the workers at Chick-Fil-A when he visited the restaurant for his TV show “Fast Food Mania”.
