According to “The View” co-host Joy Behar, Republicans like Todd Akin, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan “don’t care about the middle class” and are “trying to kill us and destroy us,” the Boston Herald reported Wednesday.
“People like Akin that think the vagina is some sort of Magical Mystery Tour and men like that are running this country,” she said, while talking about her new Current TV program, “Joy Behar: Say Anything.”
“And if people on the other side don’t like it, too bad,” she said.
“This is why I took this job. I have a job already at ‘The View.’ But I feel this country is going downhill because of people like Akin and Ryan and Romney. They’re trying to kill us and destroy us. They don’t care about the middle class. I am on this network to attack that,” she added.
“This is what the handful of Current TV viewers will be treated to when this woman’s show debuts next month,” Newsbusters’ Noel Sheppard wrote.
The Herald added that Behar would love to have Mitt Romney appear on “The View,” but she claims the GOP nominee is afraid to do so.
“They’re afraid to come on,” she said. “Romney came on before he was running for president. Now he’s afraid to come on! We were asking questions that he doesn’t want to be asked. He won’t talk about Bain, Mormonism or his taxes. When he comes on ‘The View,’ we’re going to ask him those questions.”
During the 2010 midterm elections, Behar demonstrated her unhinged nature when she called Nevada Republican Sharron Angle a “bi**h” who is “going to hell” over an ad Behar disapproved of.
That same month, she stomped off the set of “The View,” upset that Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly said that Muslims attacked the United States on 9/11.
More recently, she wondered if the gay Republican group GOProud endorsed Mitt Romney because they were physically attracted to his sons.
“Could it be that the GOProud guys are just attracted to Mitt Romney’s sons Matt, Mutt, Tag, Tip, Tack, and Bashful? Do you think that’s the issue?” she asked.
She also said that she would like to see Mitt Romney’s house burn down.
“I mean, I’d like to see his house burn, one of his millions of houses burning down,” she said, asking: “Who’s he going to call, the Mormon fire patrol?”
No doubt, this is the kind of political “insight” she will offer on her new program.
Sheppard added that former “Democratic presidential nominee Al Gore must be so proud of his creation.”
