High pressure will be the dominate weather feature that will provide Western New York much in the way of sunshine and seasonably warm temperatures for mid-summer. Dewpoints and humidity levels will be comfortable today as well. An approaching low pressure system will begin to spread a cloud shield over our region later this afternoon and especially tonight. We’ll see scattered showers and some thunderstorms for our Tuesday into Wednesday along with increasing humidity and slightly wamer temperatures. At this point it doesn’t look like there will be any severe weather from our next system, nor does it appear to be a drought buster rainfall event.
Clearing skies will again return to the region by Thursday with slightly above normal temperatures values by the end of the week.
Today: Mostly sunny skies with increasing high clouds later this afternoon. Highs near 80. Winds south/southwest near 10 mph. Tonight, will feature mostly cloudy skies with lows in the lower 60’s. Tuesday will see partly sunny skies with a chance of showers and thunderstorms developing during the afternoon. Highs in the upper 70’s to near 80.
