Update: an unnamed source claims that all quotes by any member of the Ross family are false. According to People: “Contrary to inaccurate reports, neither Liberty Ross nor any member of her family has spoken to the media. Quotes that are being attributed to the Ross family have been completely fabricated.” However, any quotes from Liberty Ross in this article are verified.
Although Rupert Sanders has maintained a low profile since his public apology last week, his family hasn’t been so quiet.
Liberty Ross’ brother, Leopold Ross, told U.K.’s The People that he believed the affair began as early as last year, during filming of “Snow White and the Huntsman.”
This flies in the face of Kristen Stewart’s own apology issued last week, where she called the infidelity a “momentary indiscretion” and said she was “deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected.”
“It was from the last half of filming and all through post-production, clear into last week,” counters Leopold Ross.
He also mentioned his sister’s unhappiness, saying that she “made some sacrifices for something she thought was worth it, [but] now she knows, right? Five minutes from her home. Doubt it was worth it but it’s life,” he said. “It might actually make things better in the long run. She wasn’t that happy for a while, but our family is close, she’ll be all right.”
Liberty Ross had opened up just a few weeks before the affair broke about her isolation and loneliness. “Moving here [from London to L.A.] and starting a life all over again was a lot harder than I had anticipated. I just didn’t think it would be as isolating and daunting as it turned out to be. I can honestly say that it took me five years to feel happy here,” she said.
“I would never say out loud that I am raising my children alone, but a lot of the time it has felt like that. I went from the glamor of working with Karl Lagerfeld and John Galliano to living on an isolated hilltop, with my husband gone most of the time.”
However, she did go on to say that “Everything feels so amazing now. We rode through the really hard times and we stuck it out…,” which is rather ironic, given the ensuing circumstances.
GossipCop has pointed out that Leopold Ross hasn’t had any evidence or first-hand knowledge to prove that his allegations are true, so unless either Stewart or Sanders come forward, no one will know for sure.
It’s not looking good for Sanders, though, as a source has come forward saying that he was “obsessed with” Stewart. “He was absolutely infatuated with her,” said the source to RumorFix. “He was after her for months but she was just in love with her boyfriend. She never chased him, never pursued him. He is much older than her and took advantage of his position. She was never a victim but he absolutely was the one to go after her. It was pretty obvious what was going on.”
Recently, Liberty Ross was reported to have forgiven Sanders, prior to these new speculations. Pattinson, on the other hand, moved out of the house he shared with Stewart, and moving vans appeared at their house on Saturday. The erstwhile couple are reported to not be speaking, although no matter what, they will have to see each other on Sept. 9, where they are scheduled to be co-presenters at MTV’s Video Music Awards. They will then will be off to promote the finale in the “Twilight” series, “Breaking Dawn–Part 2.”
