LeAnn Rimes is in rehab. The country singer has entered a 30-day treatment program for “emotional issues” according to her rep. On August 30, TMZ reported that Rimes is indeed staying at an in-patient center, trying to deal with stress and anxiety.
“LeAnn has voluntarily entered a 30-day in-patient treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress,” Rimes’ rep explained. Rimes herself released a statement that read, “This is just a time for me to emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can be. All the things in my life will be there when I get out, but you know what? I’m hoping they’re not going to affect me as much … I’ll have the tools to know how to deal with them.”
LeAnn Rimes’ rehab stint is not surprising to many people, given that she is a celebrity, but some are wondering if she’s really seeking treatment for the reasons that she says she is. Most people who have anxiety just go to a therapist a few times and some are prescribed medication. Since this is the first time anyone has heard of these “emotional issues,” some people wonder if there is something else going on.
Rimes is known for cheating on her husband with actor Eddie Cibrian (whom she is now married to). Perhaps that indiscretion caused her a lot of worry and panic and she never learned how to deal with it. Either way, her fans truly hope that she gets the help that she needs, regardless what her issues may be.
LeAnn Rimes’ rehab stay could be less than 30 days, but if she really needs help, chances are she will remain at the undisclosed facility for the next month.
