Singer LeAnn Rimes has checked herself into a health facility to seek medical treatment for “anxiety and stress.”
Rimes decided on Wednesday, August 29, which was the day after her 30th birthday to check herself into a 30-day-in-patient treatment program to seek medical aid for stress and anxiety according to Radar Online reports.
Marcel Pariseau, Rimes’ rep told People, “LeAnn has voluntarily entered a 30-in-patient treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress.”
“While there will be speculation regarding her treatment, she is simply there to learn and develop coping mechanisms. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated.
The facility has granted her permission to keep her weekend tour obligations, as LeAnn doesn’t want to disappoint her fans. She will report back after each weekend.”
Rimes tells the website, “This is just a time for me to emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can be.”
LeAnn’s husband actor Eddie Cibrian has also made a promise to fully support LeAnn during her treatment period, and has expressed his praise for LeAnn’s courage in seeking treatment.
“My wife is the most remarkable and courageous woman I know,” he tells People. “I am so proud of her for having the strength to finally take some time for herself. I will be with her every step of the way.”
LeAnn Rime’s rep added that LeAnn is not in rehab for a eating disorder or substance abuse.
Rimes tells the the magazine, “This is just a time for me to emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can be. All the things in my life will be there when I get out, but you know what? I’m hoping they’re not going to affect me as much. I’ll have the tools to know how to deal with them.”
LeAnn Rimes rose to stardom at age thirteen following the release of the Bill Mack song “Blue”, becoming the youngest country music star since Tanya Tucker in 1972. LeAnn Rimes’ most recent TV appearance was on Interiors, In Season 1 episode; “HININ-102H.”
Rimes’ has suffered a lot of backlash over her appearance, and drastic weight loss over the past couple of years, with many believing that Rimes has a eating disorder, or a drug problem, and wondering just what Eddie Cibrian’s ex Brandi Glanville will have to say about this news.
