Orlando Fla. – Traffic in Orlando can be extremely busy between the hours of 8am-10am and 5pm-6pm, but many residents are questioning “Are drivers abiding by Florida driving laws?” A wheelchair bound Michael George Winkler, 69 was struck and killed on Bruton Boulevard in West Orlando Sunday morning.
Winkler was heading south on Bruton approximately 10:30am when a driver in a 2010 gray Volvo sports utility hit him without stopping.
Winkler was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. According to the Orlando Sentinel the driver of the vehicle abandoned the volk’s wagon on Moira Street and Grandola Drive.
