The ‘Maryland One Stop Career Center’ provides counseling services to people that are looking for a new job. They have counselors that will provide guidance on helping you understand your objectives in getting the job that you want. Identify the type of training opportunities that are available to you. Providing a facility giving you access to their computer and telephone resources to support your job search. They have office locations all over the state of Maryland and have two offices that are serving Montgomery County.
Maryland Apprenticeship and Training is a state-run program that works with employers in developing the skills of apprentices that are registered with the program. Apprentices will have a chance to work full-time in learning new skills, be paid, and get hands-on supervision in mastering the craft.
There are currently more than 200 employers that are supporting the program. Apprentices that meet the requirements outlined in the training guidelines will earn a certification by the state of Maryland that they completed their apprenticeship. They are currently thousands of apprentices that have taken advantage of learning new skills to gain employment.
The Professional Outplacement Assistance Center (POAC) is focused on providing career services to professionals in management, technology, and science. This organization provides services similar to the Maryland One Stop Career Center, such as career services, office facilities, and job guides.
