Here are the highlights of the upcoming events on Tulsa TV for Aug. 29, 2012 to Sept. 11, 2012.

Sept 2, 2012 at 8 p.m. on ch 8.1 KTUL.

First episodes of season
Not a new talk show but Anderson Cooper has revamped his talk show and made it as live as syndication allows. “Anderson Live” airs Mon. Sept. 10, 2012 at 3 p.m. on ch 8.1 KTUL.
In the past, musicals actually had the actors actually lip syncing the songs of the movie. Then MTV changed it by having videos with visuals that have absolutely no relationship to the lyrics whatsoever. Flashdance was one of the first movies to incorporate this concept. The music video for “Maniac” from “Flashdance” even aired constantly on MTV. “Flashdance” airs Mon. Sept 3, 2012 at 7 p.m. on ch 19.2 KOTVDT3. It repeats later at 11 p.m.
Oklahoma State will have all three of its non-conference football games shown on TV. However two of them are on obscure cable networks not provided by Cox cable. AT&T U-Verse has the Oklahoma State vs Savannah State on Fox College Sports “C” (Channel 648). It starts Sat. Sept. 1, 2012 at 6 p.m.
University of Tulsa has two of their non-conference games on Fox Sports Net. Starting with “Tulsa vs Iowa State” airing Sat. Sept. 1, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. on FSN (Cox 27).
The University of Oklahoma arrogantly claims that all of their games will be shown on TV even though decisions haven’t been made and if they start losing their later games won’t be on TV. The first one is however almost guaranteed to be on TV. “OU vs UTEP” is scheduled to air Sat. Sept. 1, 2012 at 9:30 p.m. on FSN (Cox 27). Even though Bob Stoops has whined about not wanting to play night games, TU got the earlier spot because their opponent is a better match.
Neither Bob Stoops nor Mike Gundy’s coaches show are scheduled to be broadcast on Tulsa TV. This will affect recruiting of those Tulsa high school players without cable for years to come.
