Saturday, June 30, 2012, Minister Tee Harris, who writes under the pen name of T.T. Harris, officially launched her first book, Legal Problems. The book launch party was a classy affair held at the Twenty-Two Art Gallery, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. “I’ve been working on this book for three years,” Harris addressed the crowd in a soft voice. “This book is the first of a series and is one that will keep you guessing.”
Legal Problems is a chilling, romantic suspense novel about a couple whose lives turn upside down as lies, deceit, and trickery plague their home. Within the novel Harris deals with the controversial issue of homosexuality. “I wanted to deal with those issues that aren’t talked about in the church,” explains Harris. “People are in the church dealing with this. They are so used to living in secret and living a lie that when they are ready to make a change in their life they don’t feel like it is okay to be open about their struggle for fear of being ostracized.”
Harris is a minister and understands that many will find the content of the book controversial but makes it clear that Legal Problems is not erotica, “Legal Problems is not raunchy. This is a story of what happens in a relationship when people don’t deal with their hidden demons,” says Harris. “My prayer is that people will begin to face the hidden places of their lives, no matter what it is. That they will move toward being true to themselves and those around them.”
Legal Problems was published under Harris’ production company, The Keys Productions. In addition to book publishing, The Keys Productions specializes in music, produces a weekly radio show, and is currently accepting artists for their new management division. Harris is currently working on her second book, “The Things Church People Won’t Say,” which is slated for release in this fall.
