Motley Crue and Kiss both performed at the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheater this past Saturday evening. Tampa Bay’s 98 Rock sponsored the event. With the rather warm but rain-free weather conditions, fans were able to enjoy the concert without the risk of getting wet. With Motley Crue having been together for over 30 years and Kiss now in existence for around 40 years, attendees witnessed over 70 years of musical expertise from two of America’s most established Rock bands.
Warped Tour rocks St. Petersburg on Sunday
Tampa Bay’s 97 X hosted the Warped Tour to the area on Sunday afternoon. A total of 75 bands participated in the all-day event, which took place at Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg. While there were many genres of music represented on the tour, Alternative acts including Lostprophets, Taking Back Sunday, Ballyhoo!, Streetlight Manifesto, The Constellations, Memphis May Fire, and Bayside all performed for locals attending the event.
Upcoming Rock and Alternative concerts around Tampa Bay
The next two big Rock and Alternative concerts headed to Tampa Bay will take place in September. On Saturday, 01 September, 97 X is sponsoring a musical event that includes Sublime with Rome, the Dirty Heads, Matisyahu, Cypress Hill, and Pepper. Meanwhile, 98 Rock is bringing the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Fest to Tampa Bay on Thursday, 13 September. This concert, which will be held at the 1-800-Ask Gary Amphitheater, will feature the bands Shinedown, Staind, Papa Roach, P. O. D., Godsmack, and Adelitas Way.
