‘Necessary Roughness’ tells a Greek tragedy

TK: “They better have Netflix and down comforters.”

TK is finally shipped off to rehab. Of course he doesn’t stay there for long, but he goes. The writers could have shown more of TK in rehab. There could have been a little more mingling with fellow rehabbers. Knowing TK, that could have been a hilarious moment. TK reunites with an old friend of his named Jimmy, and they escape rehab together. Jimmy is basically where TK will end up, and that becomes clear to TK after Jimmy dies when his heart goes out. It is great to see TK and Jimmy bond and just be hilarious for a good bit of the episode because then it really makes Jimmy’s death painful for the readers. If not because the viewers loved him, then because he meant a lot to TK. Did you enjoy the rehab storyline as well as the adventures of TK and Jimmy?

Marshall Pittman’s plane goes down, and everyone is assuming that he is dead. Well, everyone except Nico. Killing off Pittman is an interesting move that is certainly unexpected. Right now it is hard to see how this really affects the team since Pittman is no longer really involved. What his death does do is wrap up the tape storyline. There still are a lot of questions regarding his death. Since he mails the tapes and pays off Dani’s IRS bill, it is looking like Marshall commits suicide, although it is extreme to crash a plane to do this. However, Marshall just happening to settle his debts to Dani right before he dies is too coincidental. Do you agree?

Matt is on the hunt for a new receiver since TK is out of commission for the first month due to rehab. Honestly this storyline is nothing too exciting. What is nice is that it goes along great with the Ray Jay storyline, which is another slightly boring one. The conversation between Matt and Ray Jay is great, and it really shows what their relationship is like. Other than that, however, their storylines are just okay. Matt is now an official General Manager at the end, and Ray Jay is probably facing jail time since he gets pulled over due to a busted tail light while transporting a bunch of weed. Did you enjoy these two storylines?

Leave me your thoughts in a comment below! Are you happy about Dani and Nico? Did you think Ray Jay was that stupid to drive around with a busted tail light and weed? Make sure you hit subscribe, and be sure to follow me on twitter.
