LeBron James might be the face of the Nike Hyperdunk 2012, but he knows where he bread and butter lies. All throughout his current run on Team USA Basketball, James has been featured in the Hyperdunk along with several other Nike athletes on the team, albeit with a slight cosmetic difference, mysteriously shoving aside his Olympic-themed Nike LeBron 9 Low “USA.” It does make a sneakerhead wonder what James and Nike up their sleeve.
Some new images of the rumored Nike LeBron 10 has made their way online and one of the colorways featured is a red, white and blue colorway with a gold swoosh that one could conjecture is a tip as to what LeBron might be wearing during the gold medal game, assuming Team USA does it make it that far. The design of the LeBron 10 seems to be in a continuation of what the LeBron 8 and LeBron 9 were shooting for and taking it even further down the “sleek” rabbit hole.
The 360 Max Air unit is fully visible in this iteration after a hiatus with the 9 and the midsole seems to also bear a resemblance to the 8. The upper material has more in the common with the 9 although the Hyperfuse is much more prevalent. The two biggest additions so far seem to be the diamond shaped supports and the reverse swoosh which also features a similar cut.
Also featured is a black and red colorway that will undoubtedly see plenty of action on the court this fall when LeBron and the Miami Heat defend their crown. But for now, we can only wait to see if James will actually debut the Nike LeBron 10 during the biggest basketball game of the summer. Because that makes too much sense.
