In 2008, “Taken” was a surprise hit that established Liam Neeson as one of the baddest dudes in action movies today. In that film, he played retired CIA agent Brian Mills, a man with a particular set of “skills”. When his daughter (Maggie Grace) is taken while on vacation in Paris, Mills tracks down the men who took her one by one and kills them all.
It’s payback time.
“Taken 2”, which will hit theatres on October 5th, has Mills on vacation in Istanbul with his daughter, Kim and his wife, Lenore (Famke Janssen). The father of one of the kidnappers Mills took out in the first movie is out for revenge and this time it’s Bryan and his wife who are taken hostage. Bryan enlists Kim to help them escape but don’t worry, Mills is ready to use the same advanced level of special forces “skills” to get his family to safety and systematically take out the kidnappers one by one.
