Braums that is – A family run dairy business that is and has been a part of Tulsa Town since 1968, servicing not only Oklahoma but Texas, Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas as well. This is not just a dairy serving 20 to 30 everyday different flavored Ice Cream refinery, fantastic though that is, but an inside open-air fresh market with home grown fruits and vegetables, dairy products and desserts. To complete the family run business, they offer a grill works that takes a massive 1/3 lb. hamburger to a new level making it their signature menu offering.
5 ½ to 6 ounces of beef alone is a fair sized burger for anyone – at Braums it’s just a beginning. A slight pause is given here to allow the hands of the Braums sous chef to prepare the rest of the story. Crisp green lettuce is a must while sliced red onions nestle in to the green finery awaiting three large slices of tomatoes and not see-through slices to settle in. Finally, a generous helping of sliced dill pickles complete the ensemble. And no burger would sashay out to the public were it not for a light spread of mustard on one side and an accompanying layer of Mayonnaise on the other. Secured in two halves of a large bun, the 1/3 lb. hamburger is now added for the crowning glory then wrapped in foil to hold the huge sandwich together. A drink alongside is all one really needs to enjoy a little bit of burger heaven. O to be sure fries are there if you wish but the burger alone is all one needs for each time is a one-time event to enjoy without a lot of anything else around. Bon Appetite
