If you’ve never spent a Saturday night in Atlanta partying at Noni’s Bar & Grill, you might want to re-evaluate how you spend your Saturday nights. The small bar located on Edgewood Ave has become a favorite amongst young college graduates and hipsters in Atlanta. With $2 PBRs and music ranging from techno to southern Hip Hop, Noni’s is one of the hippest spots in Atlanta. This past Saturday, the hippest bar linked up with the hippest party in Atlanta for Nonsense at Noni’s.
Brought to you by DJs Kimber and Fuller, Nonsense is an indie electro house dance party, taking place at Noni’s every second Saturday of the month. This Saturday happened to be the 4th anniversary of Noni’s. The party was a Baywatch theme, setting the tone of a fun beach party.
The line to get inside of Noni’s was almost wrapped around the corner. You could hear the music and screaming partygoers from outside, making those waiting in line more anxious to get inside. Waiting in line resulted in people getting stamps on their hand to go in and out of the bar and patio area. Those who had no interest in waiting in line walked around to the patio area, where the party was just as live as inside.
Inside the bar, a DJ played electro dance and house music for a packed house. Beach balls flew in the air over the crowded dance floor. The crowd went into a frenzy as the DJ switched in between dance music and dubstep. The music was slightly different on the patio. On the patio there was a cash bar and 3 DJs mixing live together with MPCs, a keyboard and turntables. They remixed today’s popular Hip Hop music on the spot. One mix included Atlanta rapper Future with electronic beats.
Outside the patio area, in the parking lot, there was a hula-hoop station and video cameras taping anyone who wanted to test their hula-hoop skills. Even outside of the party, you were still able to enjoy the party. Noni’s definitely celebrated their 4th anniversary the right way with a packed house. Even you missed the anniversary; you can make Nonsense at Noni’s the second Saturday of every month.
