Good morning, Cleveland. We are starting out this morning under a mixture of clouds and sunshine across the region. Our morning temperatures are starting out in the lower to middle 70s.
We are seeing an upper-level ridge of high pressure moving off to the east and anchoring itself over the New England states. We will be slightly warmer today and the humidity will begin to creep up once again.
This afternoon, greater Cleveland will be gorgeous with plenty of clouds and sun to rule the forecast. Our high temperatures should climb into the middle 80s in many spots with the southern areas reaching the upper 80s. There is a chance of an afternoon stray shower or thunderstorm as a weak shortwave begins to move overhead, however, most areas will remain relatively dry.
Overnight, greater Cleveland will keep the mix of clouds around. Our low temperatures will fall back into the comfortable middle 60s.
Tuesday, greater Cleveland will see a cold frontal boundary approach our region from the west. This will allow us a better chance for some showers and thunderstorms for the afternoon and lingering into the evening hours. Our high temperatures will climb to near 90 degrees. The humidity will be there to make thing a bit uncomfortable.
Wednesday, greater Cleveland will still have a few lingering showers and a thunderstorm to stick around in the early morning hours. We do expect to see high pressure move back into the region and take control of our weather pattern. The humidity will stick around some. Our high temperatures will climb into the lower 80s.
Thursday and Sunday, greater Cleveland will be mainly sunny to partly sunny each day. We do expect a chance of isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms each afternoon to evening as daytime heating provides us enough lift and convergence to fire up the atmosphere. Our high temperatures will climb in the middle to upper 80s.
Have a wonderful, Monday, Cleveland. Get outdoors and enjoy some beautiful weather. God bless.
