High pressure will drift to the east of the area this morning. A weak disturbance will move across the area this afternoon. While the atmosphere is generally dry, this disturbance could be enough to touch off a shower or thunderstorm in a few spots this afternoon, especially across the southern tier of the state. In Buffalo, it should remain dry today. It will be warm with afternoon high temperatures in the mid 80s.
Tonight will be partly cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Lows will cool to the mid 60s in Buffalo overnight.
On Tuesday, a weak cold front will cross the state from west to east during the afternoon. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely, especially after noon. It will be a bit more humid with afternoon highs in the low to mid 80s.
Lingering moisture and instability will keep the threat of a few showers and thunderstorms in the forecast through the day on Wednesday. Highs on Wednesday will be in the low 80s across the area.
