Motorola and Verizon jointly announced a special press event coming up on September 5 in New York City, but it seems one of their secrets got away from them because photos and specs of their new RAZR M 4G LTE smartphone have been leaked to the Internet.
A new mid-range RAZR
The upcoming RAZR M won’t be a top-of-the-line device but will fill the gap between Motorola’s high-end devices and lower priced units.
General specs for the RAZR M 4G LTE will include features such as a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED Advanced display, 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, 3 front-facing cameras, dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, 8GB of internal storage, Kevlar body, and a front bezel which holds a Gorilla Glass 2 panel to protect the display from damage.
Better battery life?
One of the problems that has plagued RAZR smartphones is the weak battery life, with the exception of the super-sized battery of the RAZR MAXX.
Generally speaking, the other RAZRs burned through battery time like a fire on dry wood, and would rarely last a complete day without recharging. When the RAZR M 4G LTE is finally announced at the September 5 press conference by Motorola and Verizon, hopefully the problem will be fixed.
