Simply Music is a breakthrough piano and keyboard method developed in Australia that has beginning students playing great-sounding pop, blues, classical and accompaniment pieces immediately from their very first lessons.
Accompanied by Carol L. Purcell, an accredited music teacher at Simply Music, you will learn piano in no time. To contact Carol with any questions/concerns, please email her at Carolsgroove@yahoo.com or call her at 231.645.5370.
Simply Music’s main belief is that every person is deeply and profoundly musical. Their goal is to give people the ability to have music as a companion in their lives for the rest of their lives.
To experience playing as natural self-expression, to have a large repertoire of music of many styles, the student will learn to “self-generate” (progress on his/her own), and to have a positive and self-affirming experience through the Simply Music learning process.
Playing is based on the music reading process, which for this Australian process, is temporarily delayed – learn first, then the basics.
Please note that this is not a “drop your kids off” activity; as a parent, you must be involved in the learning process and are included in the lessons.
“My daughter is only 7-years-old with no previous music knowlege. Our experience has absolutely surpassed our expectations. Recently she played a well-known song in front of 100 people and she brought the house down.” – Marsha Goodstein
This method offers a totally new approach, and has students playing more quickly, naturally and easily than with other traditional programs.
The method employs a unique ‘playing-based’ approach that can be easily understood by children, adults and seniors alike.
“I am 58-years-old and have always wanted to play the piano. In one month with Simply Music I’m able to play five songs on the piano! I wake up each morning and play.” – Lloyd Rich
Gone is the need to endure years of lessons, boring practice sessions and relentless hours of drills.
“I want to express what a joy it’s been taking lessons with Simply Music. I feel so privileged to have come across this method. I have learned songs that I thought would be impossible when i first heard them played, but now I amaze my friends and family.” – Amber Lewis

There is a significant link between early music instruction and cognitive growth in “non-musical abilities such as math, memory and spatial-temporal reasoning. Research shows that the sooner children begin music training the greater these cognitive gains are.
