The Polk County Crime Examiner personally compiles arrest reports that cover the Polk County, Ga. area, including Cedartown, Rockmart and Aragon. Listed below is the report for Monday, August 27, 2012. The report includes a complete list of arrests, prior arrests, bonding information and inmate photos. Unless specified otherwise, all information is obtained from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

The following people were arrested and charged with the violations listed below. Click on the links to view prior arrests and/or additional details.

Ashley Dawson Harris, 28, of Aragon was arrested by Polk County police on a warrant for failure to appear in Aragon municipal court. Harris remains in custody at the time of this publication.

Traci Sabrina Leatherwood, 35, of Buchanan was arrested by Polk County deputies on a warrant for failure to appear in superior court. Leatherwood remains in custody at the time of this publication.

Takesha Mitchell, 31, of Cartersville was arrested by Polk County deputies on a warrant for failure to appear in probate court. Mitchell remains in custody at the time of this publication.

Linh Hoang Nguyen, 23, of Rome was arrested by Polk County police on a warrant for failure to appear in Cedartown municipal court. Nguyen was released the same day.

Vicente Perez-Escalante, 18, of Cedartown was arrested by Polk County police and charged with no driver’s license and broken windshield. Perez-Escalante was released the same day after posting two property bonds totaling $3,120.

Jonathan Nicholas Reed, 28, of Rockmart was arrested by Aragon police on a warrant for failure to appear in Aragon municipal court. Reed remains in custody at the time of this publication.

Arlene Robinson, 48, of Bremen was arrested by Polk County deputies and charged with DUI, expired tag, expired driver’s license, no insurance and seat belt violation. Robinson was released on 8/28 after posting five property bonds totaling $4,000.

Thomas Cody Tanner, 26, of Cedartown was arrested by Polk County police and charged with interfering with a 911 call, criminal trespass under the Family Violence Act (FVA), battery under the Family Violence Act (FVA) and third degree cruelty to children under the Family Violence Act (FVA). Tanner was released on 8/28 after posting four property bonds totaling $8,100.

Arrest reports do not reflect the guilt or innocence of the individuals listed. All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Not every arrest/charge leads to a conviction. A conviction or acquittal is determined by the court system.
