The highly anticipated line of kid, baby, and nursery items designed by retired supermodel, and “Project Runway” host/judge/executive producer, Heidi Klum debuted yesterday in New York City. News of the Toys R Us exclusive collection was announced earlier this year. Heidi Klum attended the kid friendly release party in a one shoulder animal print Michael Kors dress and minimal jewelry.
The Heidi Klum designed collection is called “Truly Scrumptious” and features everything from clothing to bedding, room décor to nursery furniture. In a press release Toys R Us trumpeted the modest cost of the collection that allows every mom to be super model fashionable at everyday prices. It has been said that all the items Truly Scrumptious clothing line, which will range in sizes from newborn to 5T, will be priced between $4.99 and $39.99. The collection will hit Toys R Us stores across the country on September 15 and Toys R Us will feature a special online shop for the collection here.
Klum, who has previously designed everything from athletic wear to maternity clothing, took a personal interest in the designing and production of the Truly Scrumptious line. Heidi Klum has four children of her own, daughters Leni, 8, and Lou, 2, and sons Johan, 5, and Henry, 6, with soon to be ex-husband Seal.
“I designed this first collection not only with adorable kids in mind, but I thought of all the little details to make things easier on moms, too,” Heidi Klum said at the event. “From cool and stylish mix-and-match apparel, to fun and colorful floor-to-ceiling room décor, my Truly Scrumptious line has it all. I’m really proud of what we’ve created and can’t wait to share it on September 15th.”
Heidi Klum rose to fame as a Victoria’s Secret model, famously walking the runway in lingerie just weeks after giving birth, but has since gone on to make her name a savvy businesswomen. On top of several Heidi Klum designed clothing lines she has also created an award-winning perfume, starred in her own music video, and created several lines of jewelry. Recently she has been making the rounds at book stores promoting the official “Project Runway: The Show that Changed Fashion” book. While Klum did not write the book she has penned a self-help book in the past.
Klum can currently been seen Thursday nights at 9:00 on the Lifetime Television network in her popular role as host and judge on “Project Runway.” The award-winning show is currently in its tenth anniversary season.
